Nine Offshore River Stations are being monitored for their DO, PH, Salinity, Temperature and Conductivity results.

A decreasing trend of Dissolve Oxygen (DO) from surface to bottom is being observed in all stations. For surface DO, only eight stations conformed to the criteria of 6 mg/L, while only two stations conformed at middle dept. For bottom DO, all stations failed the DO criteria.

High levels of pH ranging from 8.71 to 9.16 are being observed in the bay. Potential Hydrogen H+ is present in sea water. This excess hydrogen is affected by carbon cycles in photosynthetic activities by phytoplankton and algae.

The high pH value attributed to photosynthetic action by phytoplankton and photosynthetic microorganisms since they have to break down Carbonate Ions consuming free Hydrogen Ions into aqueous Carbon Dioxide and water.
